Yves Nicollier has always been a passionate athlete and when he started to play golf, his future was quickly sealed. In 2008, after a successful amateur career, including Swiss champion in longest drive of 315 meters, he embarked on a three-year training course for professional golfers at Swiss PGA on the Dietschiberg/Lucerne golf course.
